In the closing days of 2017, Blue Rhino Design was awarded a contract by the Town of Collingwood to redesign the main gallery of the Collingwood Museum. The museum is housed in an impressive reconstruction of the town's 1873 train station. Working with the museum's extensive collection of artifacts, the redesign will focus on telling the stories of the First Nations Peoples, the railway, wooden boat building and ship building in a fresh and engaging fashion. We are looking forward to working with museum staff to create exhibits that engage visitors across the spectrum ranging from tourists who may know little of Collingwood's unique history to those who trace back their roots in Collingwood for generations. The project is scheduled to run for about 3 years and will have three phased stages.
