Arctic Journey
TELUS World of Science – Edmonton
In the latter part of 2019, TELUS World of Science – Edmonton (TWOSE) chose Blue Rhino Design to lead the design and development of an Arctic-themed exhibition within a new wing of TWOSE. This 9,000 square-foot gallery reflects Edmonton’s role as gateway to the North particularly as a centre for Arctic research. In this space, guests explore Arctic science and the Indigenous relationship with the Arctic through highly interactive and immersive exhibits.
In order to ensure the appropriate inclusion of Indigenous stories, objects, and images, the TWOSE project team included an Indigenous advisor and we took part in in-depth consultations with her and representatives of various Indigenous communities.
