Grand Island Nebraska

Blue Rhino Design is proud to be part of the team bringing the EPIC Discovery Center to life in Grand Island, Nebraska.

Set to open in Spring 2026, EPIC will feature 6,500 square feet of exhibits, classrooms, workshops, and hangout spaces, transforming the learning landscape for young people and families across central Nebraska.

In close collaboration with the EPIC team, Blue Rhino Design co-developed more than 25 interactive exhibit experiences. The gallery is designed to engage children ages 3-12, with a dedicated toddler zone and workshop spaces tailored for teens to build skills, explore their passions, and connect with peers and community.

Our team led a highly collaborative design process, including visioning sessions with the EPIC Board, site visits, and hands-on testing of exhibit concepts with local families. Through ongoing community engagement and iterative prototyping, each exhibit has been carefully refined to be meaningful, sustainable, and rooted in local identity.

The project is now in fabrication, and we can’t wait to see EPIC open its doors.
