The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK)
In 2016, TUBITAK hired Blue Rhino Design as the head controller firm (HCF) for the development of two new galleries at the Konya Science Center: Our Universe and New Horizons. The Konya Science and Technology Center is located in the Central Anatolian Region of Turkey and is dedicated to interactive, informal learning about science and technology.
As the HCF, Blue Rhino Design ensured the integrity of all scientific content and monitored the fabrication process for quality. Working in the Netherlands and Turkey, Blue Rhino Design was an integral part of the overall project team. We worked collaboratively with the designers at Bruns, Kiss the Frog and Sertek throughout the development, fabrication and installation phases.
We made regular progress reports to TUBITAK, provided critical assessments of the exhibits, and advised on fabrication options. With our extensive expertise in the subject matter and interactive exhibit design, we made numerous suggestions for changes to exhibits that improved the visitor experience.
